Beardance Trailhead approximate
The Flathead Valley offers exceptional riding outside of the main Whitefish systems. Herron Park, located just outside Kalispell, provides 30 miles of intermediate to advanced singletrack that connects all the way to Blacktail Mountain. It is a local favorite for after-work rides and long weekend loops.
To the south, near Bigfork and Flathead Lake, the Beardance Trail is a legendary Montana descent. It is a 13-mile advanced trail that is frequently shuttled. The descent is tight, steep, and highly technical, dropping through dense forest with a constant barrage of roots and rocks. It requires absolute focus and excellent bike handling skills.
Must-Ride Trail: The Beardance Trail is a must-do for advanced riders seeking a raw, technical, old-school downhill experience.
