Danny On Trailhead
The Whitefish area offers two distinct riding experiences that complement each other perfectly. The Whitefish Trail is a massive, interconnected network of 47 miles of natural surface singletrack, accessed via 15 different trailheads. It is characterized by smooth, rolling, deeply forested terrain that is accessible to riders of all abilities. It is managed by Whitefish Legacy Partners and is free to use.
Just up the road, Whitefish Mountain Resort provides the gravity. The lift-accessed bike park features 22 dedicated downhill trails, ranging from the sweeping berms of the beginner flow trails to the terrifyingly steep, root-choked black diamonds. A lift ticket is required for the bike park.
Must-Ride Trail: The Runaway Train (Resort) is a fast, jump-filled descent that will test your suspension and your nerves.
