A steep, narrow canyon located north of Blodgett. The climbing is exposed and difficult, with routes following sheer granite faces. The rock quality can be variable, requiring careful assessment. The area is recommended for experienced climbers comfortable with runout sport routes and complex traditional lines.
Annual climbing restrictions are implemented on February 1st for cliff-dwelling raptor nesting sites, affecting areas like 'Pie for Strength' and cliffs on the south side of the canyon. Check Bitterroot National Forest website for current closure status. Expect loose blocks and flakes, especially in larger corner systems. Climbs should be undertaken with a 'first ascent' mindset as routes are still fresh and cleaning up. Follow 'Leave No Trace' and 'Pack it In, Pack it Out' principles.
