The big wall destination of Montana. The canyon walls rise twelve hundred feet, offering some of the longest continuous rock climbs in the state. The rock is granite, requiring a double rack of traditional gear and two ropes for the descent. The climbing is serious, alpine in nature, and demands a high level of commitment.
Rock quality can be loose and chossy in places. Descents can be tricky and may require two ropes for rappelling. Leave ample time for descent.
